Hobbiton Movie Set

Hobbiton is a set from the movies Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit.

Hobbiton wasn't part of our plans because it's expensive and it's a fictional place. But when we went to the Maori Experience we met a Portuguese couple that went the day before to Hobbiton and they liked it and recommend it. So we decided to go to and we loved it. We were lucky with the weather and with the sun light. We visited in the evening, so we had sunset lights which enchanted the place.

So if you, one day, come to New Zealand, visit Hobbiton and you won't regret.

Now, to be a heart breaker (i'm sorry!), the hobbit houses are holes on the soil and basically you open a door and see nothing. You get to see their house in your dreams! ... Good dreams!

Hobbiton é um set onde foi feito parte do filme do Senhor dos Anéis e Hobbit.

Hobbiton não estava no nossos planos primeiro por ser caro e depois por ser um sítio fictício. Mas quando fizemos a Maori Experience conhecemos um casal português que tinham estado lá no dia anterior e recomendaram-nos vivamente. Então lá fomos nós e realmente gostamos muito. Tivemos sorte com o tempo e também com a luz do sol. Fizemos a visita ao final da tarde então tivemos luz do pôr do sol o que realmente encantou o espaço todo.

Por isso, se alguma vez passarem pela nova Zelândia, visitem Hobbiton e não ficaram decepcionados.

Agora, para quebrar alguns corações (peço desculpas!) as casas dos hobbit eram buracos na terra e basicamente abres a porta e não vez nada! Só em sonhos é que se entra na casa deles! ... Bons sonhos!
