Auckland

Hello!

We arrived in New Zealand, the land of the long white cloud.

We landed in Auckland and decided to hire a car for our road trip through New Zealand. 

Auckland is a modern and cosmopolitan city, where the inhabitants are utterly obsessed with sailing. 

I didn't take that much photos because in my opinion the city is not that beautiful and we had a grey day which didn't help either.

Chegamos à Nova Zelândia, a terra da longa nuvem branca.

Nós aterramos em Auckland e decidimos alugar um carro para a nossa viagem na Nova Zelândia.

Auckland é uma cidade moderna e cosmopolita, onde os habitantes são completamente obessecados por valejar. 

Eu não tirei muitas fotos da cidade porque na minha opinião a cidade não é muito bonita e estava um tempo bastante cinzento o que não ajudou também.

Hello! Welcome to Singapore.

We had a long journey but we were able to sleep, a proper one!The plane was half empty so we had the opportunity to lay down on four seats each and ... see you tomorroooow!!! 

Olá! Benvindos a Singapura.

Nós tivemos uma viagem comprida, mas conseguimos dormir e bem! O avião não estava cheio então ambos tivemos a oportunidade de nos deitarmos em quatro bancos e ... Até amanhãããã!!!

Gardens by the Bay

This is part of a strategy by the government to transform Singapore from a "Garden City" to a "City in a Garden" and is for sure an amazing place!

Esta é parte de uma estratégia do governo de transformar Singapura de uma "Cidade Jardim" para uma "Cidade num Jardim" e é sem dúvida um sitio surpreendente!

Marina Bay Sands/ Rooftop Bar

Marina Bay Sands it's a three tower hotel with a bar on the rooftop - CÉ LA VI Skybar - with panorâmic views of the city and Gardens By the Bay. We weren't lucky as one part of the bar was closed, so we were only able to have the panoramic views to the city as you can see on the photo below. However, this was  a really nice experience and we recommend!

Marina Bay Sands é um hotel de três torres com um bar no topo - CÉ LA VI Skybar - com vistas panorâmicas da cidade e do Gardens By the Bay. Nós não tivemos muita sorte porque parte do bar estava fechado, então só tivemos vistas panorâmicas para a cidade como podem ver na foto em baixo. No entanto, foi uma boa experiência e recomenda-se!

Raffles Hotel / Long Bar

This Hotel is known as being the place that a lot of travelers used to pass to drink the national drink that was created in 1951 - Singapore Sling.

Este Hótel é conhecido por ser o sítio em que muitos viajantes paravam para beber a bebiba nacional que foi criada em 1951 - Singapore Sling.

Merlion - lion's head and body of a fish. A symbol of Singapore, guardian of the city.
Merlion - cabeça de leão e corpo de peixe. Um símbolo da Singapura, guardião da cidade.

Downtown

Our Singapore impression:

• The country looks like a garden as it has so many green zones and flowers;
• It looks like London because of the amount of people in the city. It's incredible that a small country has around 6 million population;
• In my opinion this country is a consumer society, as it is surrounded by shopping centers above and below ground! The undergound (metro) is connected to all shopping centers and each shopping has 4 to 5 floors.

A impressão com que ficamos de Singapura:

• O país parece um autêntico jardim, porque está cheio de zonas verdes e flores; 
• Parece Londres no sentido da agitação das pessoas e por serem muitas por metro quadrado! É incrível que um país tão pequeno tenha uma população à volta de 6 milhões de pessoas;
• Na minha opinião este país é uma sociedade consumista porque está rodeado por shoppings em cima e em baixo da terra! O metro é debaixo da terra e faz ligações a todos os shoppings e cada um tem 4 a 5 andares.
